The SRAM RockShox Reverb AXS is a wireless-electronic dropper seatpost for mountain biking and gravel cycling that is controlled by an AXS remote on the handlebars. It eliminates the need for hydraulic hoses or cables, offering easier installation and a cleaner cockpit.
Features and technology
AXS Ecosystem: The Reverb AXS integrates with SRAM's AXS system, sharing a battery with other AXS-enabled components like derailleurs. The system can be customized via the AXS mobile app.
Vent Valve Technology: Certain models feature an integrated service solution called Vent Valve Technology. This allows riders to purge any air that has migrated past the internal floating piston, which can cause "squishiness" in the post. This service can be performed without disassembling the post or removing it from the bike.
Wireless Control: The post is actuated by a wireless handlebar controller, which can be configured to the rider's preferences via the AXS app.
Air-only internals: Modern versions of the post use an "air-over-air" internal design that is more robust and durable than older, hydraulically-bled models.
ActiveRide (XPLR model): The Reverb AXS XPLR model for gravel bikes has an air-only internal design called ActiveRide. It provides a fully rigid top-out position but also has built-in compliance to absorb vibrations on rough roads when the post is dropped.
